What do TERMITES look like?
The termites that actually damage wood is the "worker" termite. Their duties include building and repairing shelter tubes, foraging for food and caring for other termites in the colony.
Termites build "shelter tubes" or "mud tunnels" to gain access to a food source, to have shelter from enemies and the elements, and to hold in moisture.
Most people don't realize they have a termite problem, until they've already done considerable damage.
